Depart New York (LH 411 JFK-MUC 5:45PM-7:55AM+1) via Munich for Moscow
(LH 3194 MUC-SVO 11:05AM-4:05PM). Dinner and breakfast served on board.
JANUARY 18, FRIDAY - MOSCOW
Arrive in Moscow. Meeting, assistance, and transfer to the Ritz Carlton
Hotel. In the evening, inspection of the Ritz Carlton Hotel followed
by a Welcome Dinner. (D)
JANUARY 19, SATURDAY - MOSCOW
After breakfast, at 9AM, your half-day panoramic city tour of Moscow
includes Red Square with St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin’s Mausoleum,
and the GUM Department Store; Tverskaya Street; the Bolshoi and Maly
Theaters; Moscow State University and the Olympic Stadium. Afternoon
optional tour to Stalin’s Bunker with Georgian lunch. (B)
JANUARY 20, SUNDAY - MOSCOW
After breakfast, at 9:30AM, a half-day tour of the Kremlin. Within its
walls, see the historic palaces, cathedrals and towers, including Ivan
the Great Bell Tower. You visit one of the Cathedrals and view the 40-ton
Tsar Cannon, which dates back to the 16th century. A highlight of this
day is your visit to the Armory Museum, with its collection of jewels,
crowns, and royal armor. After a short lunch break, optional Moscow Metro
Tour and optional Tretyakov Gallery tour. In the evening, hotel inspection. (B)
JANUARY 21, MONDAY - MOSCOW / ST. PETERSBURG
After breakfast, visit the Romanovs chamber. Afternoon optional tour
to Novodevitchy Convent and Cemetary. In the afternoon, At 3:30PM,
transfer to the railway station to board the train to St. Petersburg
(TRAIN #160 SVO-LED 4:30PM-9:55PM. Seats in coach class reserved and
boxed-meal provided). Arrive in St. Petersburg in the late evening.
Transfer to the Astoria Hotel. (B)
JANUARY 22 TUESDAY - ST. PETERSBURG
At 10AM, your half-day panoramic city tour includes Nevskij Prospect,
the Admiralty Building, other famous buildings in this beautiful city,
known as the “Venice of the North”. You will also visit
Peter & Paul Fortress. Afternoon optional visit to the Church of
the Resurrection and to St. Isaac’s Cathedral. In the evening,
hotel inspection. (B)
JANUARY 23, WEDNESDAY - ST. PETERSBURG
At 10:20AM, a half-day tour of the Hermitage Museum, renowned treasure
trove of arts, which houses works by Leonardo da Vinci, Rafael and
Rembrandt. The museum is located in the lavishly decorated Winter Palace
of the Russian tsars. Afternoon at leisure OR at 1:30PM an optional
visit to Catherine’s Palace in Pushkin with lunch. In the evening,
hotel inspection. (B)
JANUARY 24, THURSDAY - EN ROUTE
Morning departure transfer to the airport for your return flight via
Munich (LH 3251 LED-MUC 5:50AM-6:45AM) to New York (LH 410 MUC-JFK 11:15AM-2:30PM)..
